Capcom’s Resident Evil site has confirmed that 931,232 people are using the RE.net tracking service whilst playing Resident Evil 7, and 9.48% of those players – 88,289, to be exact — are playing using PlayStation VR on PS4.

Those collective players have also killed 32 million opponents and travelled a total distance of 18 million kilometres.

The news comes at the same time a piracy group called CONSPIR4CY says it’s broken Resident Evil 7‘s Denuvo software protection system on PC. The group calls it a record-breaking achievement, breaking encryption a mere five days after launch.

Resident Evil 7 is now available on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4. It’s first lot of DLC, “Banned Footage Vol. 1”, heads to PS4 in the next 24 hours or so.
