Overwatch crossplay beta on now, requires Battle.net

And you'll get rewarded for linking your accounts!

Overwatch crossplay has entered beta testing, Activision Blizzard has today declared.

Crossplay will become available on all platforms when fully rolled out, meaning those on Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PS4, PS5 and Switch will be able to play with (and against!) one another.

A Battle.net account will be required to take advantage of crossplay, with players tasked to link their Xbox, PlayStation or Nintendo account(s) with it. Moreover, players will be required to link accounts regardless of their intention to participate in crossplay.

The good news with that is that Activision Blizzard has promised a free Golden Loot Box for those who do the account linking.

Crossplay won’t be fully offered in competitive game modes, with PC split out from console players.

Overwatch is currently available on Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PS4, PS5 and Switch.
