Melbourne’s GG EZ will be Australia’s first Esports bar, opening in August

Australia’s first Esports bar will soon open in Melbourne, Good Food has recently reported.

The bar, GG EZ, will be located at 93-95 Queen Street in Melbourne’s CBD and is expected to open in late August. The venue will have a food and drinks menu curated by Lachlan McAlister of Thank You Come Again and Mr. Wow’s Emporium.

Those looking to follow GG EZ on social media can head over to Twitter and Facebook. You can also check out the bar’s (relatively empty) website.

While an Esports-themed watering hole is new to the city, this isn’t Melbourne’s first games-focused bar. Guy Blomberg’s Mana Bar lead the pack — and subsequently closed — followed by former staffers Skaidris Gunsmith and Bonnie Bradley opening their own take on the format, Beta Bar, currently in Hawthorn. There’s also Bartronica, located in Melbourne’s Flinders Lane.

We’ll have more on GG EZ as it becomes available.
