Destiny 2 Festival of the Lost has a three-week murder mystery quest

Destiny 2 Festival of the Lost will task players to complete a final three-week quest — a murder mystery — before it’s truly over.

“As trick-or-treaters take stock of their sweet loot in real life, our own Festival of the Lost is entering its final stage. If you have yet to earn the mask that has eluded you, or still need to get your 600 Power Horror Story, you have until Tuesday, November 6,” Bungie detailed.

“To close out the festivities, Amanda has a final quest. Over the next three weeks, she will unleash you in pursuit of those who killed Master Ives, the less-hated of the Cryptarchs. Each week offers up a new step in the quest, along with a powerful reward.”

How to compete the Destiny 2 murder mystery

Here’s what you need to do:

Week 1 steps

  • Get the Lost Cryptarch Quest from Amanda Holliday.
  • Find 10 Journal Pages — either through decrypting engrams or defeating challenging enemies in the EDZ.
  • Wait. Once you’ve gathered the Journal Pages, you’ll have to wait until Amanda’s done analysing the information — likely until the next weekly reset.

Week 2 steps

  • Clear out the following three EDZ Lost Sectors: Atrium, Terminus East, Widow’s Walk — all three are located in the Trostland area, where Devrim himself is.
  • Complete a final EDZ Lost Sector: Whispered Falls. This one is in the northwest area of Outskirts.

Week 3 steps

  • Head back to the same EDZ Lost Sector you just visited: Whispered Falls. This’ll present a teleporter that’ll take you back to the Cosmodrome from Destiny. Finish the mission and you’ll get a great reward from Amanda: The Thunderlord Exotic Machine Gun.

Yes!

We’ll keep updating the quest as more is known.

Destiny 2 is available now on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4.
