Bethesda is compensating players over a canvas bag bait & switch in relation to Fallout 76’s Power Armor Edition.
Fans recently revolted over the bag, upset that the edition advertised a canvas bag whole players were actually shipped a nylon one of lesser quality.
Bethesda support first told an angered customer that the bag advertised a “prototype” that proved “too expensive to make.” Later, Bethesda pledged that those unhappy with their bag purchase are eligible to claim 500 Atoms, in-game.
“We understand and respect that there is disappointment with the bag in the Power Armor Edition,” the Fallout Twitter account tweeted. “We are sorry. Please contact Bethesda Support to provide proof of your CE purchase. They will assist in granting your account 500 Atoms.”

Comically, users can buy a skin that wears an in-game version of the canvas bag. It costs 700 Atoms. Oops.
Bethesda has since changed the Power Armor Editon’s listing to detail it comes with a nylon bag, though the “prototype” canvas bag remains in the listing’s image.
Fallout 76 is available now on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4.
