YouTube uploads will not be supported by PS4; Twitch to have exclusivity over stream archiving

It’s been revealed in a pre-release PlayStation 4 FAQ on the PlayStation Blog that the PS4 will not support video sharing via YouTube at launch, however, support for additional services is currently being prepared.

Come launch day, players will only be able to share recorded video via Facebook, while streaming video can be shared to Twitch and Ustream. The possibility of YouTube support in the future was not entirely ruled-out with Sony saying that there would be “further news on other services to come after launch.”

The FAQ also notes that video streamed to Ustream would not be saved after the fact and that only Twitch would have stream archiving available for users.

Do you plan on using the video sharing and streaming features of your PS4?
