Xbox Live enhancements: Arena, Clubs and OS additions

Microsoft’s Mike Ybarra today confirmed new features heading to Xbox One.

First, core items tied to the Xbox One OS:

  • Background music
  • Language region independance
  • Cortana on Xbox One

Next, he detailed Xbox Live Clubs. You can use them to create communities based on like-minded interests.

Xbox Live will also support a new “Looking for Group” feature, largely operating like third-party website DestinyLFG.com.

Finally, Ybarra announced Arena, a new competitive platform on Xbox Live, allowing users to play competitively solo or in groups. The function supports tournaments by the likes of EA Sports, Hi-Rez, Wargaming and more.
