Xbox 360 Preview Program kicks off with 2TB HDD support

Last month Major Nelson announced the Xbox 360 Preview Program and today he has confirmed what those who signed up will be previewing: an increase of external storage capacity for the Xbox 360 to 2TB.

It sounds like you will need to reformat your drive to use with the Xbox 360 and its new size limits, but it is nice to see the system finally move on from the horribly restrictive 32GB limit that was previously implemented. You can read the full announcement at Major Nelson’s blog, with preview program users able to access the update when it is made available shortly while regular users will see it later this year.
