A new gameplay video for The Sims 4 was posted by EA and Maxis today and the eagle eyes over at SimsVIP spotted something that has yet to be announced.
At one point during the 20-minute video a screen is briefly shown (below) which reads “The Sims 4 Premium. Save on new packs with early access and exclusive items. Become a Premium member to get early access to three new packs, with exclusive items. Your Sims can throw a spooky costume party, camp in the great outdoors, and toast to the new year in style.”
As Joystiq notes EA’s Battlefield series has had a Premium subscription for the last few years and previous Sims games have had premium content and editions, although this would be the first time a Sims game included a subscription. In the video, included below, Producer Ryan Vaughn notes that everything being demoed is unfinished and subject to change, but we’re inclined to think that the subscription is legit and will be in the final game.
The Sims 4 will be available for PC 4 September.
