Welcome to the hostile world of BioWare’s Anthem

Following its teaser during EA Play yesterday, EA’s Patrick Söderlund returned to the stage for the Xbox E3 presser to properly unveil BioWare’s Anthem in 4K for Xbox One X.

“In the world of Anthem, you and your friends are freelancers,” explained the gameplay demo. The player, and some buddies, ventured beyond the safety of a settlement to forage for humanity in a hostile world.

Players have access to a range of customisable exosuits, to play and look how you want. The bloke in the demo had his setup to fly around the world like Iron Man.

It was by far the longest live gameplay demo shown during the Xbox conference, showcasing what a major third party publisher is doing with the power of Xbox One X in Ultra 4K HD and HDR.

Anthem is planned for Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4.
