A brand new ranked playlist is coming to Splatoon tomorrow called Rainmaker.
A version of Capture the Flag, Rainmaker mode sees two teams battling to break the Rainmaker (a golden fish head) out of its shield and return it to the opposing team’s base. The Rainmaker is heavy so players won’t be able to move quickly or super jump while carrying it, but it is able to fire like an Inkzooka and can perform a charged up shot.
If the carrying player is hit they’ll drop the Rainmaker and its shield will return. If no team is able to score during the round, the team that got closest to the enemy’s base with the Rainmaker will be crowned victorious.
Splatoon is available now for Wii U.
