Konami today announced several pieces of information about PES 2016, the most significant being that Barcelona’s Brazilian star Neymar will be the cover athlete this year. The exclusive deal between the UEFA Champions League and PES has also been extended for three more years. Check out the teaser trailer below:

This is an important year for PES, many thought it the superior soccer game in 2014 as FIFA had a slow year for innovations, and with all the controversy surrounding that organisation at the moment it could provide great opportunity for their biggest rival in PES. Cover stars and exclusive arrangements aren’t the biggest news in the world but Barcelona has a massive fan base and are coming off huge success this season, Neymar will certainly draw eyes to the game.
PES 2016 will be “fully revealed” on 12 June.
