Watch: Hello Games’ Sean Murray talks No Man’s Sky on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert

No Man’s Sky developer Hello Games sent its founder Sean Murray to face new The Late Show host Stephen Colbert and show off the upcoming exploration title last Friday.

While we all know the title is coming to PC and PS4 on the same day, but still not the exact date. Colbert tries to squeeze this info out of Murray immediately, but he replies that it’s still a secret. During the segment, Murray explores a solar system on the edge of the universe and demonstrates the ability to name lifeforms, planets and systems which you are the first to encounter. Fittingly, he gives the names Molbert, Stephenus Rex and Colbert Prime two of the animals and a planet respectively.

No Man’s Sky sets players loose in a procedurally generated universe with roughly a quintillion planet sized planets, according to Murray. As he says in the video with Colbert, even if a new planet is discovered every second in No Man’s Sky, the real life Sun will have died before all of the planets have been discovered.

No Man’s Sky will be available for PC and PS4.
