Watch Dogs won’t be the first PS4 game to allow for pre-loading

Contrary to previous reports, Ubisoft’s Watch Dogs won’t be the first game to allow for pre-loading. Instead, that honour belongs to Activision’s Destiny.

The change-up was mentioned on PlayStation’s support website.

“Beginning with Destiny, certain pre-ordered titles can be automatically be pre-loaded prior to their release,” the support page reads. “This lets you rest easy knowing that your game will be ready for play the second its release date hits.”

We’re attempting to find out why pre-loading isn’t possible for Ubisoft’s upcoming title.
