Uncharted: Fight for Fortune has been confirmed by Co-Director of Bend Studio Chris Reese. Fight for Future is an action-adventure, turn based card game featuring characters from the Uncharted universe. The trailer below sets out how the game will work.
The premise of the game is to create a team using “Faction cards” – which represent heroes, villains and mercenaries – to defeat an opposing team. Each card is able to be equipped with “Resource” and “Fortune” cards which improve their stats and grant additional powers and abilities.
In the combat phase, attacking can reduce the health of either the opposing Faction cards or the opposing player. By reducing a Faction card’s health to zero you can remove it from the game, while reducing your opponent’s health to zero wins you the game.
Uncharted: Fight for Fortune links up with Uncharted: Golden Abyss by using the artefacts found within the latter game with the new title. A patch will be released for Golden Abyss when Fight for Future is released which will power up the artefacts within the game, making them ready to use in the new title. Uncharted: Fight for Future is playable without Golden Abyss so don’t panic, although PlayStation Plus subscribers will be getting the game for free just in time.
