Thanks to the awesome guys over at Vooks.net we can reveal that two special edition 3DS XLs will be released to celebrate the release of Pokémon X & Y this October.
A blue version will go on sale in Japan 12 October and features artwork showing Yveltal and Xerneas (the legendary Pokémon for X & Y. The special edition of the console will come with Pokémon X or Y pre-loaded onto the 4GB SD card included with all 3DS XL consoles.
There is also a special gold coloured Pokémon X & Y themed 3DS XL which will only go on sale at the Pokemon Center stores in Japan. See the gallery below for images of both special editions.
Nintendo Japan have also released a brand new — Japanese — trailer for Pokémon X & Y which shows of the new battles and some of the new features of the games.
Fingers crossed these special editions make their way to our fair shores.
