Twisted Pixel and Microsoft part ways

Twisted Pixel — developer of ‘Splosion ManLocoCycle and more — has parted ways with Microsoft.

Four years after becoming part of Microsoft’s stable of developers, Twisted Pixel is now an independent studio again. The announcement on the developer’s website does not cite a reason, but the studio’s lack of output of late, coupled with the poor performance of latest release — LocoCycle — could point to Microsoft being less then enamoured with the agreement.

Twisted Pixel will return to being a privately held, independent company and will continue to develop games from its Austin, Texas offices.
