Titanfall 2: All you need to know about the second weekend of its tech test

Titanfall 2‘s second tech test will soon begin, and Respawn’s made myriad changes to differentiate it from last weekend’s run.

In addition to adding the Amped Hardpoint mode and the Forwardbase Kodai map, the second weekend of the game’s tech test will raise the in-game level cap to 15.

Moreover, a number of changes have already been made in the game, due to player feedback.

Detailed in full here, key changes to gameplay include the following:

Pilot changes

  • Pilot air speed and wall-running speed will be faster.
  • Pilots will gain and retain more speed when chaining wall-runs.

Titan changes

  • Titans will take less damage from many weapons found within the game.
  • Titan dashes will recharge faster.

HUD and Map changes

  • Fade distances for enemy outlines will be brought in, so Pilots at extreme distances will not show up on radar.
  • Respawn acknowledged that users disliked the open-area nature of Homestead, and promised to showcase different maps in the future.

A full explanation of the tech test can be found here. Weekend two of the event kicks off at 2.00 am AEST on Saturday, 27 August.
