At today’s Super Smash Bros. Nintendo Direct, the new Midgar level was shown alongside a confirmation Final Fantasy VII‘s Cloud and the new stage will be available today.
Midgar comes complete with Summon Materia. Those who trigger the Materia will summon Aeons like Ifrit, Odin and Ramuh, bringing elemental changes to the stage.
The Midgar level will feature a Mako reactor in the background and will be available on both Wii U and 3DS.
Cloud himself will come with his original Final Fantasy VII costume and two from Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children.
Cloud and Midgar will be available “within hours” of today’s Nintendo Direct.
Update: Nintendo Australia has confirmed that Cloud and the Midgar stage will be available in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS or Wii U for $7.80 AUD or $10.20 NZD, or both game versions together for $9.10 AUD or $11.90 NZD.
