Stereoscopic 3D restricted to New 3DS in Hyrule Warriors Legends

Speaking in an interview recently, Hyrule Warriors Legends Producer Hayashi Yosuke revealed that stereoscopic 3D effects will only work with New 3DS.

Yosuke told 4Gamer that the 3D had to be restricted on the old 3DS as the hardware is unable to process the 3D visuals and generate the number of enemies and action on screen at one time. He also confirmed that Hyrule Warriors Legends will include amiibo support.

Hyrule Warriors Legends is a port of the Wii U release and will be available in 2016. Those wanting to play in 3D will need a New 3DS. A special edition New 3DS will launch alongside Tri Force Heroes on 23 October.
