Star Wars: Battlefront won’t include a server browser, will use skill-based matchmaking

DICE has revealed that Star Wars: Battlefront won’t feature the standard server browser like in Battlefield and other shooters and will instead use a “new skill-based matchmaking system.”

EA’s Community Manager, Sledgehammer70 posted in the Battlefront subreddit confirming the lack of server browsing in the title. The server browser lets players select from a variety of servers with different rule sets, player numbers, game modes, maps and the like.

It’s unclear how the”new skill-based matchmaking system” will work, but we’ll bring you more news as we have it.

EA announced yesterday that a beta for Battlefront will launch in October.

Star Wars: Battlefront will be available for PC, PS4 and Xbox One 17 November 2015.
