Sony responds to Microsoft’s proposal of cross-platform play

Sony has responded to a proposal by Microsoft to begin cross-platform play between Xbox One, Windows PC and PS4.

Psyonix’s Rocket League could very well become the first game to support cross-platform play between the three major platforms… provided Sony goes along with it.

“PlayStation has been supporting cross-platform play between PC on several software titles starting with Final Fantasy 11 on PS2 and PC back in 2002,” Sony said in a statement to Gamespot.

“We would be happy to have the conversation with any publishers or developers who are interested in cross platform play.”

So there you have it, for now. What do you make of Sony’s response?
