SimCity’s offline update goes live today; server downtime needed to get it started

SimCity’s Update 10 — the one that brings offline play to the game — launched today on Windows PC and Mac.

EA advised that the update was took take place at 1.00 am AEDST last night, but that the update “involves server down time and the game servers will be unavailable for a few hours.”

We’ve been unable to confirm if the game is back up at the time of writing.

EA also explained single-player offline play in a new FAQ for those interested.
