Is Microsoft saving Silent Hills to make it an Xbox exclusive?

Rooster Teeth’s The Know is reporting that Microsoft is in talks with Konami to save the beleaguered Silent Hills.

The Know cites a source who says talks are currently underway, and if all goes well, an announcement will be made at this year’s E3 in mid-June.

The source continued to say that the game will have a March 2016 release date if all goes well, and that it will — of course — be an Xbox exclusive title.

It has been suggested that Konami’s bizarre move to pull Silent Hills’ demo, P.T., from the PlayStation Store is a show of good faith towards Microsoft and the proposed deal.

Being a rumour, there’s no word if Guillermo del Toro, previously attached to the project, will come back on board.

We’ll keep you informed as we learn more.

Thanks, Aaron.
