For the first time in franchise history, a western writer will pen Resident Evil 7.
Richard Pearsey, who’s also written Spec Ops: The Line and F.E.A.R., takes senior writing credit up Capcom’s upcoming, first-person, VR-fuelled sequel.
“This has been quite a trip,” Pearsey said of the gig in a now-removed tweet. “Very glad to have played a part.”
Resident Evil 7 currently has a demo available on PS4, though the demo will not appear as-is in the game’s final release. The survival horror title heads to Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4 in January 2017.
