Project CARS hits the breaks, arrives a couple weeks later than expected

Project CARS, Slightly Mad Studios’ upcoming racing simulator, has been delayed until April.

“Moving the release date was not an easy decision to make, as we know our fans are eager to get their hands-on on Project CARS,” said Ian Bell, studio head at Slightly Mad. “But we know that these extra days will allow us to provide the best game experience that our fans deserve. We assure you the wait will be worth it when the game does arrive early April.”

This means North America will see the game from 2 April on Windows PC, and 7 April on Xbox One and PS4.

In Europe, expect the game on all three platforms from 2 April. We’re awaiting Australian confirmation, but assume we’ll see the game on 2 April as well.

A Wii U release will follow at a later date.

Nicholas recently previewed Project CARS with the Oculus Rift; expect his thoughts later today.

Update: Bandai Namco Australia has confirmed a 2 April release.
