Pro League of Legends player suspended after allegedly levelling up accounts

League of Legends pro Yu “XiaoWeiXiao” Xian has been suspended after reports he had been paid to level up another player’s account.

Accepting payment to level another user’s account is against Riot Games’ terms of service. Whether or not player a player accepts the payment or not, levelling someone elses account can result in suspension or bans.

As reported by dailydot, it seems that Alex Gu, team manager for Xian is involved in the scandal as the Paypal account was linked to a Skype account used by Gu. Hunter Leigh, Esports manager at Riot Games confirmed that Xian has been interviewed by Riot and admitted to misconduct.

Alex Gu took to Twitter to announce he would be making a statement at a later date.
