Playstation Plus multiplayer goes free on PS4 this weekend

Sony has announced a free weekend of online multiplayer for PS4 owners, starting 5.00 pm AEST Friday 26 September and ending 5.00 pm AEST Monday 29 September.

The release doesn’t mention if this also covers the PS Plus free games program, but it doesn’t seem likely (which is a shame, as the excellent local multiplayer focused Sportsfriends is free this month).

Regardless, the deal requires no signups or commitments so if you’ve been on the fence about paying for online gaming here is your chance to give it a try.
