PlayStation Now beta heads to PS4 this month

On the PlayStation Blog, Sony announced that the PlayStation Now beta would be extended to the PlayStation 4 starting 20 May (North American time).

Those who have signed up for the beta may soon receive a code for the PS4 version of the service very soon. The beta has been up and running on PS3 for the past few months. It’s been announced that the PS3 beta will be expanded to include more users “in the near future” as current beta testers have logged more than 50,000 hours with the service.

PlayStation Now is Sony’s streaming based game rental service that allows users to rent and stream games and is powered by the Gaikai technology Sony acquired in 2012.

PlayStation Now will launch in North America this Summer (Australian Winter) and in Europe in 2015.
