New PlayStation Store launch postponed in the US

The spate of errors and issues with the roll-out of the new look PlayStation Store appear to be continuing with delays and postponement of the launch of the new store now announced for the United States, Canada, Mexico and Brazil. These regions now join the UK in not receiving the updated store.

Sony Network Entertainment VP Eric Lempel has stated that “an exceptional experience with the new store” must be certain before a new launch date is announced, which means revising the roll-out in response to issues faced in other regions.

We were less than impressed with the store when it launched and as more news comes out about continuing delays and errors, it appears we were not alone.

While not available in the UK or US the new store is available in some European regions and Australia.
