#Miiquality campaign seeks to bring same-sex relationships to Tomodachi Life

Nintendo’s Tomodachi Life is all kinds of zany and crazy, but it’s also pretty conservative too. That’s something the new #Miiquality campaign aims to change.

The campaign seeks to add same-sex relationships to the simulator. They did exist for a brief period in Tomodachi Collection: New Life thanks to a bug, but that was quickly patched back out of the game.

Tye Marini posted the following video to the internet last month, using the #Miiquality hashtag.

“I want to be able to marry my real-life fiancé’s Mii, but I can’t do that [in the game],” Marini says in the video. “My only options are to marry some female Mii, to change the gender of either my Mii or my fiancé’s Mii… or to completely avoid marriage altogether and miss out on the exclusive content that comes with it. But none of these are a real solution.”
