Metal Gear Online’s launch issues apologised for with in-game currency

Metal Gear Online — like most online games — suffered launch woes and to ease the pain Konami has gifted players with in-game currency.

Konami announced the gift alongside an apology to those affected. All players have been given 3,000 GP and the double-XP event has been extended for an additional week. While the XP boost was originally activated by a code, those who activated it will get an additional week, while others will need to use the code.

Metal Gear Online is part of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phanton Pain. Both are available now.
