According to Mario Party 10’s official Japanese website, new amiibo are to be released to be compatible with the game alongside the already announced Super Mario series.
New amiibo for Donkey Kong, Wario and Rosalina appear on the site (as seen in the gallery below) each with a red base like the Super Mario series. While the main image of amiibo on the page shows DK, Wario and Rosalina in their Super Smash Bros. amiibo forms, the additional images suggest that new amiibo with new poses are on the way.
The Super Smash Bros. amiibo featuring characters in Mario Party 10 are compatible with the latter game though it’s not clear if the new DK, Wario and Rosalina are compatible with SSB. All amiibo in the Super Mario series who appear in SSB are compatible with it thus far, so it’s likely the three new amiibo will also be compatible.
The new amiibo have not yet been announced for a western release, although we’d expect it to happen any day now.
Mario Party 10 will be available exclusively for Wii U 20 March.
