LawBreakers will be available on PS4, with further enhancements on PS4 Pro, developer Boss Key Productions today confirmed.
“The game is coming to PlayStation 4,” Boss Key’s Cliff Bleszinski told Stevivor in a recent interview. “Hearing those words tumble out of my mouth provides me happiness like I’ve never known.”
Bleszinski said Boss Key’s pedigree demanded the gravity-focused shooter be available on console.
“The majority of the people who work here [at Boss Key] were working on console games; the majority of our fanbase knows them from Gears and Killzone,” he said.
It’s been confirmed the title will run at 60 frames per second on both PS4 or PS4 Pro.
“We’ve really put our noses to the grindstone to provide a 60 frames-per-second experience that shines on PlayStation 4 [and] Pro,” Bleszinski stressed.
“LawBreakers on PS4 Pro is enhanced in certain ways,” Boss Key’s Rohan Rivas explained. “Mainly graphics detail at 1080p or 4K resolution. Basically, Pro unlocks high graphic fidelity. This does not include a higher framerate above 60fps — both PS4 and PS4 Pro are at a smooth 60fps.”
LawBreakers‘ PS4 version will be shown off at E3 2017 in Los Angeles over 13-15 June. The title, expected sometime in 2017 on both Windows PC via Steam and PS4, recently entered into another closed beta on PC.
