Infinite Crisis’ beta kicks off in March

The DC themed free-to-play MOBA Infinite Crisis will enter open beta on 14 March developer Turbine announced yesterday. It also revealed three new characters in Green Arrow, Aquaman and Mecha Superman.

Turbine is better known for creating MMOs such as The Lord of Rings Online, with Infinite Crisis marking its first foray into the MOBA space. Executive Producer Jeffrey Steefel claims that the game has drastically increased in scope in the last few months of development. “We now have three maps, three modes, a huge amount of different ways you can play the game. Twenty-seven characters and, in fact, we are adding a new character every three weeks,” he said. It was also revealed that Turbine plans to release a new character every week.
