GamerGate: FBI releases redacted report of investigation

The United States’ FBI has recently released a 173-page report that details its investigation into 2015’s GamerGate scandal.

The report, essentially, goes nowhere; The Verge reports that the FBI warned a GamerGate harasser who admitted to threatening a target up to 50 times a day.

The FBI’s closing report, dated 21 September 2015, says that after an exhaustive investigation, “no additional subjects or actionable leads were developed.”

The FBI’s investigation was closed in late 2015.
