Galaga and Tekken are crossing streams to celebrate Tekken’s 20th anniversary

Just because you can mix two things together doesn’t mean you should. Once I put a McChicken inside a Quarter Pounder, another time I mixed Vodka and Tequila together. Neither experiment was a success. Bandai Namco are approaching that dangerous territory as today they release an iOS and Android Galaga/Tekken crossover, Galaga: Tekken 20th Anniversary Edition. The game is a celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Tekken franchise, and is far more Galaga than 3D fighter, cute Heihachi and King sprites taking the place of waves of alien ships. For those interested the game can be found here for iOS, here for Android. It’s free with no microtransactions, so there really isn’t a downside here other than the opening of a crossover floodgate we may never be able to close.
