EA: Titanfall 2 will have a “bigger footprint than just a single platform”

Not long after Titanfall was released last year were rumours cropping up that the as yet unannounced sequel would not be exclusive to Xbox.

Those rumours still have legs it seems, but are seeming to be more than just rumours following a talk given by EA CFO Blake Jorgensen during Monday’s 2015 Technology, Internet & Media Conference. “Last year it was on the Xbox only; in the future, we haven’t yet announced, but we’ll probably have another Titanfall game. It will probably be a bigger footprint than just a single platform. I think that’s a huge positive for us,” said Jorgensen (via GameSpot).

While Titanfall 2 remains unannounced by EA we know that it won’t be arriving in 2015. In an earnings call in October 2014 Jorgensen said that EA hoped to publish one major shooter per year and with Battlefield: Hardline and Star Wars: Battlefront being released in 2015 and Battlefield 5 coming next year it only stands to reason that Titanfall will follow sometime after.
