Driveclub PS Plus Edition still missing in action

Developer Evolution Studios has been frantically trying to upgrade servers and fix the issues plaguing the launch of Driveclub.

Posting to the official Facebook, Evolution notes that server issues are ongoing and are “working to improve connectivity with every update to the servers.” The post also states, “These connectivity issues stem from the same unforeseen server problem that we’ve been working to get on top of since we launched Driveclub, and while we are getting on top of the problem now, we are still working round the clock to keep improving gameplay for you.”

Driveclub was supposed to be included as part of October’s PlayStation Plus offerings, but was delayed “to ease the load and traffic to the servers.” On the same Facebook post (above) Evolution said, “PS Plus Edition news will come as soon as we have concrete info – sorry to keep you all waiting.”

While it’s understandable that unforeseen delays and launch issues can occur, Driveclub has been delayed multiple times and the PS Plus Edition is no nowhere to be seen. Perhaps it’s at the point now where Sony simply offers Driveclub free to all current PlayStation Plus members?

Driveclub is available now for PS4.
