Dark Souls speedrunner, Twitch user and professional madman Kahmul78 recently broke the 50 minute barrier by completing the game in 49 minutes 55 seconds, Kotaku reports.
Kahmul78’s previous record was 55 minutes and 9 seconds, a record which Kahmul apparently prefers due to there being flaws included in his new fastest run. Whatever that means. Check out the run below embedded from Twitch.
Speedrunning has been around almost as long as video games, but the fact that someone can complete a game as punishingly difficult as Dark Souls in under 50 minutes is mind boggling.
