Disney Infinity 2.0’s Toy Box to be available as a separate download in November

Disney Infinity 2.0’s Executive Producer John Vignocchi announced today on Disney Interactive’s Tumblr that Infinity 2.0‘s Toy Box mode would be available as a standalone download 4 November for PS3, PS4, Wii U and Xbox 360.

The reasoning behind the move is that Infinity 2.0 is compatible with the original base, figures and power discs. So, for those who don’t want to purchase a starter pack, they’ll be able to jump straight into the Toy Box with their existing gear and start tinkering with all the new things on offer.

The standalone Toy Box download will be priced at $29.99 USD usually, but will be available on the Nintendo eShop and PlayStation Store for an introductory price of $19.99 USD for a limited time. The 4 November release date is timed to coincide with the release of the digital editions of all Infinity 2.0 Play Sets.

Disney Infinity 2.0: Marvel Super Heroes will be available for iOS, PC, PS3, PS4, Wii U, Xbox 360 and Xbox One on 18 September. It will also release for PS Vita in 2015.
