Destiny’s most infamous line of dialogue is back

Way back in June last year, Bungie launched the Destiny alpha which included the infamous line “That wizard came from the moon”, spoken by Ghost voice actor Peter Dinklage.

In the alpha, the dialogue hadn’t gone through the process of manipulation to make it sound robotic and so it sounded as if Dinklage was reading from a phonebook. Many players noticed the line and performance, including our previewer Luke who wrote, “The voice acting from Peter Dinklage, who plays an AI robotic companion, is quite strange; it’s a bland and boring performance.”

Bungie removed the line from the beta and the retail release, but now players have noticed that it’s back and that it’s been that way since update 1.1 in December last year. The reason many players may have missed it is because it occurs very early in the game’s campaign and isn’t always spoken.
