Destiny 2 beta: This is what decoded from accidental blue Engrams

A handful of blue Engrams ended up in the Xbox One version of the Destiny 2 beta, even though they weren’t supposed to feature at all.

The game’s Strike, The Inverted Spire, will drop Glimmer and blue Engrams upon its full release, but wasn’t meant to in the now-closed beta. Two lucky users encountered a bug on Xbox One which meant they got them early, and we’ve got their experiences below.

First, user BLACKJESUS1450 grabbed a blue Engram that automatically encoded (after all, there was no in-beta Cryptarch) to a Fatum Praevaricator rare Warlock Bond, offering 203 defense, a higher stat than the 200 Power items used in the beta. You can see it below:

Next, LegendRebornHD picked up a rare Refrain-23, a Suros-made Auto Rifle with Void damage.

These two instances are the only ones known to have dropped accidental Engrams.

Destiny 2 heads to Xbox One and PS4 on 6 September, followed by a release on Windows PC on 24 October.
