Choose between third- and first-person viewpoints on the fly in Star Wars: Battlefront

Star Wars: Battlefront is first and foremost about player choice. From being able to choose a custom loadout to playing as Boba Fett on Hoth or piloting the Millennium Falcon in a skirmish above Tattooine. So, it should come as no surprise that DICE are offering even more options to players in the title.

At Star Wars Celebration it was revealed that players will be able to switch between first and 3rd person perspectives , on the fly, while playing Battlefront. Niklas Fegraeus says that DICE want to provide players with as much choice and customisation as possible. The third person mode is also being included to appeal to fans of the original games,

In the gameplay demonstration we were shown at Star Wars Celebration, the transition between first and 3rd person perspectives was smooth, fast and seamless. Gameplay also seemed to continue exactly as it had whether the player was viewing the world from a first or 3rd person perspective. Obviously it’s difficult to tell just how well either mode works without being able to play, but from a strictly spectator’s perspective it appears that Battlefront will suit those who prefer either.

Star Wars: Battlefront will be available for PC, PS4 and Xbox One on 17 November 2015.
