CD Projekt Red: We don’t think about The Witcher 3 needing to be 60fps on consoles

CD Projekt Red’s Senior Art Producer Michał Krzemiński recently spoke with GamingBolt and explained why The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt running at 30fps on consoles rather than 60fps (like PC) was no big deal.

“We don’t think like that,” he said. “When you have a vision to create an RPG that will leave a long lasting impression, you don’t think in terms of resolution or frame rate. You think of adventure, you think of living worlds, and the stuff you’ll be able to do in that world.”

GamingBolt asked whether 60fps had ever been a target for consoles and Krzemiński explained, “Technical aspects are kind of secondary, which of course doesn’t mean that we don’t want the graphics to be awesome.”

We know The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is going to be one hell of a visual feast regardless of whether it’s running at 30 or 60fps.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be available for PC, PS4 and Xbox One 19 May 2015.
