Bungie reiterate ‘no matchmaking for raid content’ stance

Talking with Game Informer, Bungie have reiterated their stance that matchmaking shouldn’t be included for Raid content in Destiny. Amusingly they then praise the community for creating their own matchmaking systems using forums, because meeting strangers for games in forums is very different from having an automated system match like minded individuals in game. You can check out the full quotes in Game Informer this month.

It seems like Bungie feel they would need to change the way Raids are designed, or that the change could influence how they design Raids. That’s a poor excuse in my opinion, but Bungie do things their way, and until Destiny that has usually proven best.
