Bloodborne update 1.03 due by the end of April, improves load times and corrects “abnormal game behavior”

Sony’s taken to the PlayStation Blog to announce that From Software are hard at work on preparing update 1.03 for Bloodborne. Due for release before the end of this month, update 1.03 will address the game’s long load times as well as “abnormal game behavior after many continuous hours of play.”

Japan Studio’s Masaaki Yamagiwa made the announcement alongside the news that Bloodborne has sold through over one million copies worldwide. The “abnormal game behaviour” being referred to is what some gamers have taken to calling Bloodborne’s easy mode. By leaving the game running for extended periods of time, players have discovered that enemy AI breaks down and boss fights become much easier affairs.

Bloodborne’s long load times have been an issue since day-one, with Steve noting them in his review. A patch to address the long load times was promised last month with many fans believing that update 1.02 would do so. However, update 1.02 was released in order to fix a game-braking bug that could see players unable to complete the game.

Bloodborne is available now, exclusively for PS4.
