Bayonetta 2’s online co-op mode detailed

Famitsu has revealed details — as translated by Siliconera — of Bayonetta 2’s online co-op mode.

Dubbed ‘Tag Climax’, the mode will allow players to play with friends, random online players or AI and take part in a range of challenge modes. Boss battles and a Horde Mode have been revealed as two of the available challenges with players selecting the length of time of each level.

In online quick matches, players are able to bet in-game currency (Halos) which will trigger a challenge between the players of who can score the most points. Halos can be spent on techniques, accessories, and alternate weapon variations.

Bayonetta 2 will be available exclusively for Wii U in October.
