Battlefield: Hardline beta recruits over 6 million players

Battlefield: Hardline’s second beta has come to a close and managed to draw a record number of players.

Yesterday, Visceral Vice President and General Manager Steve Papoutsis tweeted that over 5 million players had joined the beta.

Shortly after his tweet, Papoutsis posted an update to EA’s blog announcing that Hardline’s beta had passed the six million player mark.

“We’re thrilled that now more than six million of you have gotten your hands on the game. We appreciate the response and feedback we have gotten from you in the forums, on social media and while playing with you online,” Papoutsis wrote.

Papoutis reassured fans that lessons learned from the beta would be applied to the game, even so close to launch. “Now, I know what you’re asking yourself. We’re just five weeks away from the launch of Battlefield Hardline, how could we possibly be acting on that feedback? Well, I can assure you we are. In fact, we’ve already been prioritizing changes for things fans are talking about. So you’ve still got a chance to be heard.”

Did you try the beta? What are your thoughts?

Battlefield: Hardline will be available for PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One on 19 March.
