Augusta National Golf Club and The Masters will not appear in Rory McIlroy PGA Tour

EA has confirmed today — via Twitter — that the Augusta National Golf Club will not appear in Rory McIlroy PGA Tour as the publisher’s licence with the course has expired.

EA stated that while the course won’t appear in the title when it’s released later this year, it will “explore opportunities to include it.” With the Augusta National missing, Rory McIlroy PGA Tour will also not feature The Masters, one of the four major golfing events of the sport’s calender.

In another tweet EA states that there is the potential for Augusta National to be included as DLC some time after the game has launched.

Rory McIlroy PGA Tour is currently in development for PS4 and Xbox One and is expected to launch this June.
